Testimonials

I recently purchased a three year old gelding Emotion from Gunter Thiede at GT Malibu Sport Horses. The horses talent, temperament and training is consistent with how he was advertised and I couldnt be happier with my purchase. It was a wonderful experience, and exactly the horse I was hoping for.

This majestic setting in the Malibu hills has been very special to me and my horse. It is very well maintained with up to date barn stalls with auto fly system. Gunter runs a professional and friendly facility at GT Malibu Sport Horses and is always helpful to the clients. Thanks so much Gunter.

“Gunter has restored my confidence, I am trying things I never thought I could. I’ve always been a timid rider who has been confused by too many instructions. My horse is so happy with the huge in-and-out, the first week he walked around it in a daze. I love coming out to this beautiful, scenic and peaceful barn”

~ Lucy Guerra of Agoura

“I have been riding for 23 years, and Gunter has been the only trainer who has truly inspired me to go for my best. I get so motivated by him.”

~ Ashlyn Littmann

Thank you to Gunter Theide for my beautiful horse Lanzar! I just received my first qualifying score at Prix St. George at LAEC’s Cool August Nights. Lanzar is proving to be a wonderful teacher for the upper level movements and is the horse that will take me all the way to Grand Prix. I feel so blessed to have Lanzar as my loving equine companion and athlete!

~ Tane McClure-Arendts, Actress and film producer

“Gunter is the best thing that has happened to me. He has shown me the beauty of my horse and what I can achieve with him if I work hard at it – and Gunter certainly makes me work hard, which I love!!”

Here are excerpts from letters of recommendations for Gunter Thiede and GT Malibu Sport Horses.

I have served on committees for both the USAE and USET for many years. I am currently co-vise chair for the Dressage Committee for the USAE. Additionally I am an FEI rated judge. This position allows me to travel around the world and view first hand the top competitors and horses. Because only a select few riders can compete in dressage competition on an international scale, those who rise to the upper level in this area of equestrian sport are truly among the top equestrian athletes in the world.

Through my many national and international experiences, I have known Gunter Thiede for many years. Based on his accomplishments in International Dressage Competitions in Europe, I believe that he is a world-class equestrian competitor. As such, Mr. Thiede would be an asset to any dressage training facility. His ability to train and show dressage in international competition, coupled with his drive for success in the sport will enhance the winning reputation and international achievement of any facility presented with the opportunity to employ him.

Very Truly, Anne Gribbons

I have been a member of the United States Equestrian Team for many years. I was a bronze medalist for the United States dressage team in the 1976 Olympics and have ridden for the United States in many international competitions. This position allows me to travel around the world and view first hand the top competitors and horses. As dressage events become more popular, the competitions require that the riders and their horses must have the top level correct training.

Through my many national and international experiences, I have known Gunter Thiede for approximately ten years. He is an excellent horse trainer as well as an outstanding competitor and instructor. He has competed successfully at Grand Prix in international competitions and would be a great addition to any horse training facility. Mr. Thiede is able to provide a high level of dressage training for horses and riders that is not readily available in the United States.

I have instructed at Flint Meadows Equestrian Center. The center has talented horses and riders but lacks the consistency of an on site instructor/trainer. The students would advance much more quickly and with correct training having Mr. Thiede as the resident instructor. This would allow them to be competitive at top competitions. This will be much more difficult if they must depend on periodic clinicians.

…I am very familiar with the discipline of Dressage and have reviewed Mr. Thiedes submission and supporting documentation. Mr. Thiede is an internationally known and respected dressage rider and trainer at the highest level of the sport, a position which requires a high level of experience and talent. His expertise will be an asset to the equestrian community of this country…
